What a wonderful and glorious morning we had on Veterans Day! We filled Marian Hall with Veterans and family members attending our program. Our 7th & 8th grade students took excellent care of our veterans upon their arrival; they welcomed them, served them breakfast, and visited with many of them. Our music teacher, Mrs. Carlson, prepared the children beautifully to present patriotic choral selections.
Thank you to all of the parents who came early in the morning to help setup, serve, and clean up the breakfast. Without your help, the morning wouldn’t have been as smooth and beautiful as it was. God bless the United States of America and the brave men and women who have served our country in times of war and in times of peace!
With regard to our Band and Orchestra Expansion initiative, we recently completed a Grades 4 – 8 student survey to gauge our students’ interests in learning to play an instrument. I will send a similar survey to our parents soon and include the information from the survey of our students. The purpose of the parent survey is to determine the level of support (financial and otherwise) that exists among our school families and to determine what is needed to build our music program into something that engages students and gives glory to God. More to come!
