A quality Physical Education program is vital to our general well being in our everyday lives. A healthy body brings a healthy mind. Our K-8 curriculum is based on Spark (Sports, Play, and Active Recreation for Kids). This program was initiated as a counter to heart disease and to help promote a healthy lifestyle in our students’ everyday lives. Spark classes are very active and the major focus is help promote physical activity, skill building, and to increase large and small motor skills in the classroom.
Spark education has pre-planned activities with a scope and sequence written into each instructional unit and in each one of our daily lesson plans. Spark was written to comply with most Physical Education Frameworks.
