Homework: math 17b; religion – with permission, cut out pictures from magazines and newspapers of people from around the world. We have been discussing Creation and how God made all of us in His image. We are all special and different and we reflect God. The pictures may be brought in anytime over the next week. Fr. Hogan stopped by our room to say hello this morning. Ask your child if they remember something he said! Yesterday was the Feast of St. Raphael and the Archangels. What do YOU think an angel is?? Today in computer we went to the staff blog site so they could look at it. There were some cool pictures, including a giraffe, beach, and Curious George! We are working hard at keeping hands to ourselves and not being “bossy” to others. The golden rule is sinking in as we end the month. Library books tomorrow and girls sharing letter “b”. Thanks for being great parents!!

Ask your child if they remember what was created on which day! It was a cool morning with the strong wind. Thank you for sending sweatshirts and jackets!

Homework: math 12b. Please return the phonics homework tomorrow with the math paper. Tomorrow is green/white day!! It is also library, so please remember to bring books. Girls sharing – something that has the sound for “a”. Today all students had their vision and hearing tested.

Tuesday 9/22

September 22nd, 2009

Homework: math 11b; phonics worksheet-both sides. Both papers are due tomorrow. We were going to begin the phonics sheet but there was too much talking – and not enough listening! The class knows it is extra homework for tonight because of this. We discussed using our self-control and remembering to be responsible for ourselves, not everyone else. The apple tree pictures were done last Friday using their paints! God Bless and have a good night.

Monday 9/21

September 21st, 2009

Homework: Spelling worksheet – both sides. We practiced writing and saying our spelling words, rhyming words and word families ending with -an, -at, -am. We had a math assessment today so no math homework. We worked with dice and graphing after testing. Tomorrow is boys sharing – something with the sound for “a” like apple. Have a good night!
