Report cards will go home Wednesday with your child. Monday is track and field for K-3 and uniforms are not necessary. Bag lunch will be available at school, or lunch from home can be brought as usual. We will eat in the lunchroom prior to our activities outside.

Thurs. 5/27

May 27th, 2010

Homework: math and handwriting worksheets. What a beautiful day!! Tomorrow we will have some free play in the afternoon. Your child can bring a game, legos, etc. to play with and share with classmates. We have worked hard during this warm week!!

Wed. 5/26

May 26th, 2010

Homework: math 129B. Today we let the butterflies fly away!! They are off to the next stage in their lifecycle and to explore the world! (Kind of sounds like graduation!) In computer we played some awesome learning games on an internet safe site. There were puzzles, matching, math, reading, and other fun games to help our typing/keyboarding skills. Mr. Hartwell always teaches us new, important things. Ask your child what games they tried today in computer!

Tuesday 5/25

May 25th, 2010

Homework: math 128B. Thank you for sending water with your child! As we get closer to summer vacation it’s a good time to think about “school work” during July and August. Keep reading, writing – words, sentences, and practicing math skills. Activity books are an easy way to keep the memory fresh! If you are at the grocery store, Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, or wherever, there are many types of activity books/pages which are fun and helpful.

Monday 5/24

May 24th, 2010

Homework: math 127B. Many children had water bottles today which they refill when empty. Thank you for sending – it helps!! If anyone has purple lilacs in their yard could you send a few in? Our butterflies are doing well. We will release them later this week. Today a small turtle came to visit, too. I would love to have a “pet” day, but all the dogs, cats, birds, fish, and other animals would probably make us sneeze or itch or something! Stay cool and have a good night.

Thurs. 5/20

May 20th, 2010

Homework: math 126B. We Have Butterflies!!!! They are beautiful Painted Lady Butterflies, which look similar to a monarch. Three more to go! What a great day for a birthday. Ask your child about this very cool event. God’s blessings are many!
