Spanish Grades PreK – 4 October 30, 2009

Pre K-   We learned some of the colors and greetings

K-  We reviewed greetings, colors, numbers and learned some Spanish songs.

Grade 1 – We learned objects in the classrom, the song “Red is Rojo”, reviewed greetings and practiced short sentences with si and no.

Grade 2 – We learned more classroom-object words and practiced using  their pictures from the small envelopes. We practiced the words using short sentences.

Grade 3  -The students used the prayers from their  Spanish spiral notebooks, pasted in all the Lessons and reviewed all the words in Lessons 1-4.  They are learning to read and write in Spanish. A test on Lessons 1-4 was given and a 5 point bonus given to every student that had a parent signature indicating they had parental help in reviewing.  This greatly helps the students.

Grade 4- We have been reviewing all the words  that were learned  during the last years. We had a test on Lessons 1-5. Those who had a parent’s’ signature indicating a review was made with them, received 5 extra points on their test.  This parental review  helps  so much !  Those who do not have it most often have great difficulty in class. We are practicing the vocabulary words in  sentences.
