FRIDAY 10/2/09 4′S
Posted on : October 2nd, 2009

Do you love rainy days? We do!  The children talked about the weather as we dressed Wilbur the Weather Cat in her rain gear.  The children did a short project on ‘What Families can do Together’.  We have been experimenting with different forms of building blocks that I have set out for the children; tunnels, castles, homes, highways, all take on a new meaning when built with blocks.

A doorbell has been installed at our Door #5.  If you are late in arriving and I am not at the door, you only need to ring that bell and we will hear you in my classroom and the ‘doorman’ will come running.  Thank you!

The school’s  Rake-a-Thon is this coming Friday. Please support our school in any way you can , this is a major fund raising event for our school. Although the  Preschoolers do not take pledges or rake the lawns of our neighbors, we still benefit from this event. You are invited to join this fund raiser by sending in a donation in the name of the PreK classroom.  Thank you again for all of your support!

Enjoy your weekend, see you Monday.

THURSDAY 10/1/09 THE 3 YR OLD CLASS
Posted on : October 1st, 2009

HAPPY OCTOBER!

Today the three’s worked on counting skills from one to five. We counted apples on a tree mat, which they later colored and took home.  We played a silly music game  similar to musical chairs, but involving the number clouds found on our classroom rug.

The children continue to demonstrate a growth in social skills of sharing, taking turns, and using our polite words. I am so proud of them!

Enjoy the rest of the week with your families.
