The children finished their spider pockets this morning- -AWESOME! Be sure to take a look at these critters. The spiders will be left in the classroom until Halloween morning. I’m sure the GREAT SPIDER will be leaving some surprises in the spider pockets for the children. The children have also learned a Scarecrow rhyme, some told me that they have already frighten family members. Here are the words – the actions speak for themselves – Scarecrow, Scarecrow, turn around. Scarecrow, Scarecrow, touch the ground. Scarecrow, Scarecrow, look at your shoe. Scarecrow, Scarecrow, better say ‘BOO!” The children love it and now you will too! Today the children also listened to the story, “The Shy Scarecrow” by Mary Packard.
I am enjoying the opportunity to speak with each of you in regards to your little one’s growth in the Pre-K program. Thank you for giving of your time and sharing some insights with me. If you have not signed up for this conference time, please do so – I have sign up times in the classroom.
Remember Halloween is in one week! The children may come to school dressed in their costumes for the morning party. Again, for safety reasons, no weapons or masks are to be part of the costumes.
Parents, please remember our School’s Book Fair! This year the fair will be held at Barnes & Noble in Maple Grove on Saturday Nov. 17th from 11 to 4. I will be reading a story to the gathered children sometime that afternoon. More details to follow regarding time and story.
Have a wonderful evening!
