A Visit from the Firefighters
Posted on : October 10th, 2007

This morning the children were treated to a presentation on fire safety from New Hope’s Fire Inspectors. The children were also taken for a quick walking tour of the truck. Ask the children what they learned this morning from the presentation. Here are some conversation starters:  -smoke alarms, -all the equipment the firefighters need to wear to be safe themselves, – the need for families to have a safe gathering spot if they do have a home fire- and what does ‘stop, drop, roll’  mean?

We also took some time to color (with markers) the classroom Halloween House. We will color a little more on Friday and then put the house back together.  The next few weeks the house will be set up in the classroom to be used for quiet activities.

Remember picture day is next Wednesday.

Pre-K Conference times will be held during the first two weeks of November.  If you would like to chit-chat about the progress (and fun) we are having, please sign up for a day and time – if you need other times, let me know.
