April 27-May 1

It was fun to see so many of you at the Monti Carlo night- it was very well done. This will be an off schedule week. Monday the DARE officer will be teaching a lesson. The students need a good night’s sleep on Monday and a plentiful breakfast on Tuesday because we start our standardized testing on Tuesday. There will be one test each week. Our field trip will be on Thursday – all need a cold lunch. Please send flowers to Mass on Friday for our May crowning. Final count on Heiffer Project – $440.00 – bought a water buffalo, pig, flocks of ducks, geese and chickens and donated $10.00 to another class.  Looking ahead Zoo Trip is May 12 – all are welcome to come with us.

April 14-17

You and your children are awesome givers! Between the bake sale, toy sale, and the ark money, everyone has raised over $400!!!! We still have a few arks to be brought in-please send them in tomorrow for a final count. They are anxious to figure out what other animal they can buy. This is late notice, but anyone who is available to join us, we are going to Coldstone today at 12:30 as our reward for earning the most class money for the Rake- A -Thon. Field trip permission slips are coming home today. We will go to a park for lunch and playtime, then to Totino Grace for the play “The Princess and the Pea” We are limited with tickets, so can only take 2 parents from each classroom. INTERVIEWS ARE DUE WEDNESDAY. I hope you are as enthusiastic as they are about learning their family history – they come with new news every day. Thursday is Green and White Day and a PHT meeting. ALL BASKET ITEMS ARE DUE FRIDAY APRIL 17, SO THEY CAN BE ASSEMBLED. Thank you for you generosity. Hope to see many of you at this fun and good eating event.  Art Adventure will start this week.  No tests this week except spelling.

April 6-9

All arks should be brought in this week. Here is a review of AR requirements – 1 test at their level needs to be taken each week, therefore at least 9 each quarter – most of the class are doing well with this. I sent your child’s scores in their Friday folder. Pleae sign it each week so I know you saw it. We’ll be taking a field trip to a play at Totino Grace on Thursday, April 30th, and a trip to the Minnesota Zoo on May 12. Permission slips will be going home after the break. Planet books are due on Thursday – interview reports are due Wednesday April 15. Thanks to those who have sent in items for the class Movie Night basket. If each student brings an item or $, the class will earn a sundae.  Spanish test on Wednesday.
