October 6-10

I will put a conference day and time reminder in the purple Friday folders.  There  will be a Spanish test on Wednesday.  Sister will give each student an extra 5 points if they bring a note in from a parent saying they studied with their child.  Students wear rake-a -thon t-shirts each Monday.  No spelling pre-test this week, it is a review week.  Friday is first turn – day for rake-a-thon. $50.00 earns a jump in the inflatable bouncer on Monday:)

MONDAY Math – L.#26  – identifying dozen and 1/2 dozen -gym

Religion – story of Jesus lost in the temple

Reading – “King Wacky” (he’s backwards) adjectives to describe him and plot structure with a turning point

science – minerals

writing – proper nouns

TUESDAY Math L. #27 – identify place value by writing hundreds digit – library  & music – Study for Spanish test tomorrow

Religion – Jesus calls His disciples Simon and And

Writing – highlights journals come home

WEDNESDAY – Math L. # 28 – writing money amounts using $  – Spanish  &  art

Reading – prefixes,  suffixes and dictionary work

Religion – study chapter 5 and faith words for test tomorrow

writing – book report

Fire safety demonstration by West Side firefighters

THURSDAY – Math L. #29 reading and shading a thermometer to nearest 2 degrees – gym and music

Social studies – junior achievement presentation city zones

Religion – test on chapter 5

FRIDAY – mass – Turn-in day for rake-a thon - technology

Math – collecting data and tallying

Religion – begin chapter 6 – Death and Resurrection of Jesus

Science – how rocks are formed
