religion – Mass parts- Liturgy of the Word and Liturgy of the Eucharist
writing – demonstration presentations of How-To papers
Tuesday – math l.# 88 – estimating and finding the area of a rectangle – library & gym
religion – tabernacle and the Blessed Sacrament – preparation to visit the Adoration Chapel tomorrow
social studies – review and test on chapter 8
writing – last of the How-To presentations -they have done very well with their writing steps
Wednesday – no math, spelling, reading, or music due to all morning all-school retreat – theme- The Great Commandment- love – Father Fusare, the missionary priest will be talking to the students, a visit to adoration chapel and Holy Spirit Chapel where Father Juettner and Sister Therese Ann will lead them in a meditation prayer, they will be making a cross which will remind them to pray for their pen-pal sisters in Kenya (they will write to them after Easter and tell them about their prayers for them), modern day parable video”The Touch of the Master’s Hand” (ask them about this powerful video)
religion – Study chapter 16 and faith words for test tomorrow
science – begin science unit on energy – it is the ability to cause change
writing – learn 2 more forms of poetry – limerick and Haiku – choose a topic and begin writing a Haiku poem about nature
Thursday – math l. #89 – finding the sum of 3 addends – gym & music
reading – skill – finding the plot of a story
religion – test on chapter 16
science- sources of energy and how it is stored as fuel or food
Friday – Mass – technology -send February Home Reading logs (or a note if it is lost)back to school
religion – stations
science – how stored energy is used in batteries
writing – finish Haiku poems
math activity – determining the likelihood of an event and determining the fairness of a game
