AR: Continue to read and test for Accelerated Reader. The quarter is about half over, so half of the goal should have been reached.
Reading Record: The at-home February reading record is due next Monday, March 1. I will accept it anytime that week with a few points deducted if it is late. After Friday, March 5, I will not longer accept it and the score will become zero.
The Midwest State project is due on or before Tuesday, March 9. Requirements were sent home with each student.

Here are some additional notes:
The project includes an option of a paper or tech project. If a paper project is chosen the scrapbook can either be purchased or handmade. Include an attractive cover. Pictures can be photos, printed out or hand drawn.
If a tech project is chosen, Google Apps would be the best option. It can be accessed at home the same way it is at school, and then will be easy to pull up for sharing. If students need a refresher on how to load photos, they can ask me or Mr. Hartwell.
In either case, for each requirement there must be a title or caption of some kind. The name of the student should be clearly labeled.
I tried to answer all questions in class today. Otherwise, check with me prior to the due date.

Catholic Schools Week:
Monday – pep fest, Super Hero Day
Tuesday – Color Day, fourth grade wears yellow. Clothing must be mostly yellow. Jeans are okay. Breakfast in fourth grade.
Wednesday – Occupation Day, dress as what you want to be when you grow up.
Thursday – Comfy Day, wear sweats or appropriate pajamas. May bring a pillow/blanket. Talent Show.
Friday – School Mass, donuts in Marian Hall.
I will be serving the fourth graders breakfast in school Tuesday as my CSW reward. We’ll have cereal with milk and juice.
Please return the signed report card envelope if you have not already. The report card is yours to keep.
Welcome to the third quarter. It’s hard for me to believe it’s already the half way point of fourth grade. Time seemed to move quickly.
Here’s the work for the week:
Spelling: Unit 13. This week only, the packet is due on Thursday. The test will be on Friday. Study the words on p. 92. FYI: I always give the students about 20 minutes to start their packets. Most are about half done here at school.
Math: T – L67 W – SL68 Th – L68 F – L69
Haiti Fundraiser: Bring coins. Nickels on Wednesday. Dimes on Thursday. Quarters on Friday. If you forget you can bring any coins on any days.
Open House: This Sunday from 10 to 12 in the morning.
