Guacamole

April 26th, 2010

As part of our nutrition unit, I demonstrated making guacamole and we had a tasting session.  The majority of students loved it.  I encouraged them to make it at home for their families.  Here’s my recipe as good as I could estimate.  I usually don’t measure, just make it to taste.

1 ripe avocado

Onion, diced small  – about 1 Tbsp

Jalapeno, diced small – about 1/2 Tbsp – but adjust according to your heat preference

Cilantro, chopped small – about 1/2 Tbsp

A splash of lime juice

Salt to taste

Enjoy with tortilla chips!
