March Physical Education

March Physical Education Grades 4-8 Classes

This month we will continue our tournament play in the following games. Our class theme will be The Heart of a Leader reading each day before class begins.

1. Pickle ball

2.Badminton

3. Table tennis

Our objectives are:

1. To continue to understand game rules.

2. To work on individual and team skills.

3. Sportsmanship to understand winning does not define success.

4. To appreciate all individual and team sports.

5. To improve eye and hand skills.

6. To increase heart and muscle endurance.

8. To understand round robin tournament play.

March Physical Education Grades K-3

This month our class will participate in these lessons:

1.Scoop Ball Skills: Our classes will be working on the development of eye and hand skills as we learn to catch the ball with a scoop and then throw the ball with our scoop in hand. We will be working with a partner in the classroom.

2. A second theme is the development of hitting skills.We will set up several batting T’s in our classroom so student can develop their eye and hand skills while hitting off a batting tee.

3. To end our unit we will implement some lead up games with the activities listed above in our classroom.

4. We will also continue to build fitness skills into each unit we teach.
